Hi, with Windows I can use the TV as a PC monitor.
Can I do the same with Arch with GNOME?
Thank you

Are you referring to miracast? If so see gnome-network-displays (have never tried it).

For Chromecast, there is also a Gnome extension in AUR: https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/gnom … ast-to-tv/
I would still go cabled if possible though. That way you can use 4k resolution (Miracast cannot do 4k according to Wikipedia, not sure about Chromecast). Your neighbors will thank if you are not gobbling up the whole spectrum just because you don't have a 2 m HDMI cable handy. ![]()

OP hasn't returned to the forums for over three years. It is unlikely they are still looking for a solution. Please do not necrobump.
