Thanks a lot for the update! I can confirm it works again with latest Pacman updates.

1. Does that mean that this case is [SOLVED] now?
2. What actions are required to revert back to using Cinnamon with GDM again? Will the following example do the job, or is there something wrong/missing?

sudo pacman -Syu		# <-- To reduce the chances of anything breaking.
sudo pacman -S gdm		# <-- If not installed already.
sudo systemctl disable lightdm
sudo systemctl enable gdm
# Reboot
sudo pacman -Rs lightdm

If you're using lightdm, yes.

I think you can disable display-manager.service if you're not using lightdm instead and then enable gdm and it will do the same thing.
